Introducing ServiceChat.ai, a "text me back" website widget that allows you to capture sales leads and improve customer service.
Working hand-in-hand with ServiceCall.ai, this feature offers the ability to be embedded into your website, or a marketing landing page, to allow your customers to initiate a text message conversation that an office user can pick up right inside the Call & Message Center of ServiceCall.ai.
- Create one or more widgets with dedicated phone numbers
- Personalize the color of the widget to match your website or landing page
- Create new customers, estimates, and jobs from the text message interface

The ServiceChat.ai web widget will allow your customers to provide their contact information without having to first text message your company. The information your customers provide will start a new conversation as if it was a new incoming text message that appears in the Inbox in the ServiceCall.ai admin portal and the call center.
Setting Up and Embedding ServiceChat.ai
Prerequisites:
- Have one or more numbers added to your account in Settings > Numbers
- Have an SMS flow assigned to the number(s) to ensure a new message lands in a message inbox
- If using different widgets for sales lead capture and service requests, create separate user groups in Settings > Users and assign those groups to the dedicated number's SMS flow.
NOTE: You can click on the screenshot to enlarge it.
To begin the setup, sign into your ServiceCall.ai Admin console, click on Settings, then click on ServiceChat.ai and switch the "Enable ServiceChat.ai Widget" toggle to the ON position.
Adding a New Widget
To add a new widget, select the 'Add New Widget' button, then give your widget a name, assign a dedicated number, select your preferred color, and click Add.
Widget Name
As a result of the ability to create more than one widget, it will be important to name your widget. If you have a web page that is available to the public, and a separate portal for existing customers, it may make sense to direct the captured information from the widget to separate numbers (e.g. Sales versus Service) within ServiceCall.ai.
Different widgets could also be used on marketing landing pages to better track each incoming text and the success of the marketing campaign.
Please Note: Each widget requires its own dedicated phone number.
Send Incoming Messages To
You can only assign one phone number to a widget, and once that phone number has been assigned to a widget that number can not be assigned to a separate widget. Choose the phone number that you would like to receive the captured information (name, mobile number, and a message) from the widget in this section. You can choose from any number that you have purchased inside of ServiceCall.ai and that has not been assigned to a widget already from this drop-down menu.
Widget Accent Color
In order to match the branding of your website or a landing page, you can choose an accent color for your widget and see it applied in real-time in a preview pane.
You can use the built-in color picker or enter the hex value of your RGB color (e.g. #E74C3C).
Installing the Widget on your Website
When a widget is added, we will automatically generate the code needed to insert the widget into the desired page that you would like this widget to appear on your site.
You can easily copy the website code by selecting the 'Copy Code' button.
Once you've copied the website code, paste it into your website's HTML source code before the closing </body>
tag. This website code must be inserted into every page you want to show the widget on.
Testing the Website Widget
After you have successfully installed the widget code, a ServiceChat.ai icon will appear in the bottom right corner of the page. When clicked, it will open the widget and allow you to input your information.
Please Note: Use a mobile number that does not exist in your customer database to better understand the full workflow of a prospective customer initiating a text message conversation.
