Important Information Regarding Your SF Phone Numbers
Over the past several months, Service Fusion has worked diligently with Twilio, our SMS technology partner, to create a seamless 10-digit-long-codes (10DLC) registration process for your business. As you may know, the telecommunications industry is undergoing extreme changes to combat the dramatic rise and impact of spam messaging targeting US wireless consumers. As part of this, the carriers have imposed a mandate for number registration with a deadline on August 31, 2023. This project's scope has significantly increased since we began working with Twilio on the exact information they require from Service Fusion clients to properly complete the registration process.
In order to ensure business continuity for all of our customers past the August 31 deadline, we will temporarily enable new 1-800 phone numbers for all SMS messaging for our customers beginning the week of August 28. This necessary change in the SMS delivery numbers used for your business will ensure that all your text messages continue to be received by your customers and staff. You still will be able to keep and register the local numbers you are currently using by leveraging our registration portal, to be launched soon, to provide all required details about your business and SMS campaigns. You can see what information you must provide when you register here.
Once again, all customers will continue to own their current local numbers but will be assigned toll-free numbers temporarily for Service Fusion and ServiceCall.ai. No action is needed on your part at this time. We will let you know when the portal is ready for you to begin registration soon.
We appreciate your patience during this period of transition. We want to assure you that we are nearing the final stages of launching the registration portal and final details regarding the registration process. Our commitment to delivering a seamless and efficient experience remains unwavering. While this mandate and deadline for registration is being imposed by the carriers, we remain committed to ensuring that your business continues to function without interruption as it relates to SMS messaging.
