Important Information:
- Photos and documents can be uploaded from both view and edit screens of the job
- Supported image formats: jpg, jpeg, gif, png
- Supported document formats: pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, csv, txt, rtf, odt, html, ppt, jpg, jpeg, gif, png, mov, mp4
- Mac-specific formats like .numbers and .pages are not supported for preview but can still be uploaded and downloaded
- Technicians must have the "Update Jobs" permission to add comments to photos
Strategic Workflow:
- Upload and manage photos in the Pics tab
- Upload and manage documents in the Docs tab
- Add comments to photos (with proper permissions)
- Preview documents without downloading
- Download files as needed
Process Description:
- Access the Pics or Docs tab on a job
- Upload one or more files from the view or edit screen
- Add comments to photos (if permissions are enabled)
- Click on the photo, to open in the viewer preview, to browse, zoom, and download
- Download photos using the Download button in the viewer preview
- Add documents from the customer’s stored list or upload new ones
- Rename or delete documents as needed
- Preview supported documents directly in the system
Step-by-Step Instruction:
Pics Tab:
- Open a job
- Navigate to the Pics tab
- In view or edit mode on the job, click Upload Pictures
- Click +Add files
- Choose the picture(s) and click Open
- Click Start upload
- Add more or click the x to close the pop-up
- Click on a photo to open the viewer preview to browse, zoom, and download
- Click the Download button in the upper right corner of the preview to save one picture at a time
- To save more than one picture at a time, on the Pics tab, click Download All Pictures
- The pop-up will say: "You are about to download all pictures attached to this estimate as a Zip file. Are you sure you want to continue?" Select Yes and all the pictures will save to your downloads folder as a Zip file
- Add comments to the picture, by clicking Add comment (requires Update Estimates permission)
- Hover over a picture and the following options will appear:

Double arrow icon (Resize Image)
- Type in the preferred Width and Height and select Resize

Trashcan icon (Delete Image)
- Warning: "Are you sure you would like to permanently delete this image?" - Select Yes to delete the image

Lock icon (Make private/not visible to customer)
- Warning: "Setting this picture as private will hide it from the customer's view in emails and print or PDF documents where image tags or image gallery tags are used. Would you like to make this picture private?" - Select Yes to hide the photo
Docs Tab:
- Open an job
- Navigate to the Docs tab
- In view or edit mode on the job, click +Upload New
- Click +Add files
- Choose the document(s) and click Open
- Click Start upload
- Add more or click the x to close the pop-up
- To add documents from the customer’s stored document list, click the Select existing document or add new drop-down
- Choose from the list of existing documents that are saved to the customer's account and it will add to this estimate
- The icons to the right of the document include the following:
- Magnifying glass (Preview)
- Download (Download)
- Pencil (Edit name)
- Trashcan (Delete)
