Important Information:
- Jobs can be created from multiple areas
- The creation method determines which fields are auto‑populated
- Jobs created from scheduling views may auto‑populate date, time, or technician
- Worker App users must have Create Job permission enabled

Process Description:
- Create a job from the main navigation
- Create a job from a customer account

Creating a Job from the Main Navigation:
- Hover over the Jobs tab
- Select the blue + New button
- Enter the required job details
- Select Save Job
Creating a Job Using the “+” Button:
- Select the + icon in the upper‑right corner next to your profile avatar
- Choose Job
- Enter the required job details
- Select Save Job
Creating a Job from a Customer Account:
Use this method when you already know which customer the job is for.
- Open the Customer account
- Click the +New Estimate or Job button
- Select New Job
- Customer information is auto‑populated
- Enter the remaining job details
- Select Save Job
Creating a Job from the Dispatch Grid:
This method is useful when scheduling and checking technician availability.
- Open the Dispatch Grid
- Locate the technician row and time block
- Right‑click the desired time slot
- Select Job
- Review the auto‑populated fields:
- Date
- Arrival Time Window
- Assigned Technician
- Update any fields as needed
- Select Save Job
The job appears on the Dispatch Grid at the selected time and technician.
Creating a Job from the Calendar:
Jobs can also be created from the Calendar view.
- Open the Calendar
- Right‑click the desired date or time slot
- Select Create Job
- Enter the remaining job details
- Select Save Job
Important behavior to note:
- The date is auto‑populated
- The technician is not auto‑populated
- The arrival time window auto‑populates only in Daily or Weekly views, not Monthly
Creating a Job from the Field Worker App:
Field technicians can create jobs if permissions are enabled.
- Confirm Create Job permission is enabled in Worker App Permissions
- Open the Field Worker App
- Select Create New from the homepage
- Choose Job
- Enter job details
- Select Save
