Important Information:
- Job templates cannot be created directly from an existing job
- Job templates must be created from one of the two creation methods
- Any information saved in a template will auto‑populate when using the job template
Strategic Workflow:
- Reduce job creation time for repeating or similar jobs
- Ensure that all required fields and consistent details are included every time
- Improve accuracy and efficiency by minimizing manual data entry
Process Description:
Creating a "Job Template" can be initiated from two different areas of the system:
- The Job Templates Dashboard
- The Create a Job screen
Both locations allow you to build a template, and save it for future use.
Creating a Job Template from the Jobs Menu:
- Hover your mouse over the "Jobs" tab
- Select Job Templates from the dropdown
- On the "Job Templates Dashboard", select + Add New Template in the upper‑right corner
Creating a Job Template from the Create Job Screen:
- Begin creating a job as normal
- Select Create From Template in the upper‑right corner
- Select Create New Template at the bottom of the dropdown list
Populating and Saving the Template:
- Enter all relevant details exactly as you would when creating a job
- Customer Name can be left blank
- Add a Template Name to identify it clearly
- Select Save Template, to save the template
Any information entered will appear automatically when applying this template later.
