This article covers the communication templates used to send Customer Email Broadcasts.

With the Customer Email Broadcasts, there is a section in the Communication Templates dashboard, that will be found at the bottom of the Communication Template types sections on the left of the page.
When creating a template here, you will click the blue "+New" button to add a template to this section. Just as with any other communication template section, a name for the template is required so you will be able to select it from a list when sending your email. Following the Template Name field is the Recipient drop down. Due to the intended use case of this feature, which is to send customer facing mass emails, the only recipient option is "Customer".
Once the recipient has been selected, the tags sections will populate on the right side of the page. Due to the aforementioned functionality of this feature, the tags associated with this section of the communication templates will be information regarding your customers and your company.
Following this action, you can determine if a template will serve as your default template. This will allow the system to automatically select this template when you create your Customer Broadcast.
This is not a permanent selection and the template can still be changed when creating your broadcast.
You are also able to deactivate any templates you no longer wish to appear in the menu when creating a broadcast!
Unlike other communication templates, you will not be able to Preview these templates from this page, due to the intended function of the templates to be used as mass emails to multiple customers. Once you have saved your template, you will now be able to use it within a Customer Email Broadcast!
When you select to Create A New Broadcast, your templates will be available to be selected from the drop down menu labelled as "Template".
Once you have selected the template that you would like to populate your emails, a preview of the template will be shown in the body right below the drop down.
Because of the intended use for these templates to be sent to multiple customers, any tag for customer information will still appear as a tag in this view while any tag for your company information will appear populated with the tags intended information.
