What is an API?
An Application Programming Interface (API) is a way for applications to communicate with one another and exchange information without having to connect directly to each other’s databases.
How does it benefit service contractors?
Since most applications used by businesses in day-to-day operations are Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), allowing them to connect multiple systems together increases the applications’ respective value to the business. It also gives businesses an option to solve problems Service Fusion can’t solve for them. For example, a third-party Customer Experience Management system can send surveys to your customers daily by pulling a list of completed and closed or invoiced jobs.
Why is it important to Service Fusion?
Having an open API allows us to build a partner ecosystem of SaaS providers and other service providers, as well as independent developers that already provide or would like to provide services to the field service contractors.
