Estimate statuses can update automatically based on specific system actions and customer interactions. These automatic updates help ensure estimate progress is accurately reflected without requiring manual intervention, improving visibility and consistency across estimating and job workflows. Understanding how and when estimate statuses change automatically allows teams to better track customer engagement, approval activity, and job conversion.

- Manually changing an estimate status may bypass these automated transitions
- Customer email delivery and online approval actions are required for certain status updates to occur
- Updating the name of the status will not change the system automation
- Inactivating these statuses will not prevent system automation using these statuses
- The estimates will be hidden on the Estimates Dashboard and will not be seen within the worker app, Dispatch Grid, Calendar and Dispatch Map
- Certain estimate statuses are applied automatically when defined actions occur
- System‑driven updates ensure estimates move through their lifecycle accurately and consistently
- These statuses are updated automatically based on user or customer actions
Estimate Provided:
The Estimate Provided status indicates that the estimate has been sent to a customer and is awaiting their review. This status is applied automatically when the following conditions are met:
- The estimate was emailed to the primary contact's email address on this specific estimate
- The estimate was in the Estimate Requested status prior to emailing the estimate, sending the estimate will update it to Estimate Provided
If the estimate is not emailed, or if it is sent to an address outside of the customer record on the estimate, the status will not update automatically.
Estimate Accepted:
- The Estimate Accepted status is automatically applied when the customer approves the estimate online
- Once the customer clicks the Accept Estimate Online button from the email or sms they received, the system updates the status automatically
- No manual update of the status is required
Estimate Won:
- The Estimate Won status is applied when an estimate is successfully converted into a job
- When the user selects the option to convert the estimate into a job, the system automatically updates the estimate to Estimate Won upon job creation without requiring any additional action
