Important Information:
- Estimates can be created from multiple areas
- The creation method determines which fields are auto‑populated
- Estimates created from scheduling views may auto‑populate date, time, or technician
- Worker App users must have Create Estimate permission enabled

Process Description:
- Create an estimate from the main navigation

Creating an Estimate from the Main Navigation:
- Hover over the Estimates tab at the top of any Service Fusion screen
- Select the blue + New Estimate button
- Enter the required estimate details
- Select Save Estimate
Creating an Estimate Using the “+” Button:
- Select the + icon in the upper‑right corner next to your profile avatar
- Choose Estimate
- Enter the required estimate details
- Select Save Estimate
Creating an Estimate from a Customer Account:
Use this method when you already know which customer the estimate is for.
- Open the Customer account
- Select +New Estimate or Job
- Select New Estimate to create a new estimate
- Customer information is auto‑populated
- Enter the remaining estimate details
- Select Save Estimate
Creating an Estimate from the Dispatch Grid:
This method is useful when scheduling on-site visits and checking technician availability.
- Open the Dispatch Grid
- Locate the technician row and time block
- Right‑click the desired time slot
- Select Estimate

Review the auto‑populated fields:
- Date
- Arrival Time Window
- Assigned Technician
- Update any fields as needed
- Select Save Estimate
The estimate appears on the Dispatch Grid at the selected time and technician.
Creating an Estimate from the Calendar:
Estimates can also be created from the Calendar view.
- Open the Calendar
- Right‑click the desired date or time slot
- Select Create Estimate
- Enter the remaining estimate details
- Select Save Estimate
Important behavior to note:
- The date is auto‑populated
- The technician is not auto‑populated
- The arrival time window auto‑populates only in Daily or Weekly views, not Monthly
Creating an Estimate from the Field Worker App:
Field technicians can create estimates if permissions are enabled.
- Confirm Create Estimate permission is enabled in Worker App Permissions
- Open the Field Worker App
- Select Create New from the homepage
- Choose Estimate
- Enter estimate details
- Select Save
