Creating, Using, Removing and Managing Estimate Tags

Best Suited for:

• Back Office administrators
• Users managing estimates
• Users organizing workflows by tag-based categorization

Important Information:

• Tags help organize estimates within the "Estimates Dashboard" and reports
• Estimate tags are not visible to customers and are for internal use only
• Tags are not visible in the field worker app
• Estimate tags cannot be imported or batch edited
• Tags can be used interchangeably between estimates and jobs
• Estimate tags are searchable via Global Search and appear in the Estimate Dashboard

Strategic Workflow:

• Use tags to group estimates by type, status, or internal workflow
• Tags can be used to group the data and generate reports
• Tags help to identify trends and manage estimate segmentation

Process Description:

• Create a tag on an estimate
• Select an existing tag
• Remove a tag from an estimate
• Manage tags

Creating a Tag on an Estimate:

1. Open the estimate in edit mode
2. In the "Tags" section, type in the desired tag name
3. Press Enter to create the tag
4. Click Save Estimate to apply the tag

Applying an Existing Tag:

1. Open the estimate in edit mode
2. Click into the "Tags" section and begin typing the tag name
3. Choose from the list of existing active tags
4. Click Save Estimate to apply the tag

Removing a Tag from an Estimate:

1. Edit the estimate
2. Click the “x” next to the tag
3. Click Save Estimate

Managing Tags:

Hover over My Office > Click Tags > Click Estimate & Job Tags

From here, you can:

• View how many estimates, jobs, and templates use each tag
• Delete tags
  • Click the trashcan to delete
  • If the tag is used within any jobs or estimates, you will be presented with this warning message: WARNING: Deleting this tag will remove it from all associated jobs and estimates (including templates). This action cannot be undone. Are you sure you want to permanently delete this tag?
  • Click Yes, delete
• Rename tags
  • Click on the Tag Name
  • Type in the preferred tag name
  • Click blue checkmark to save the changes

Note: You cannot create new tags from this screen

• Commercial
• Follow-up
• Bad Debt
• Do Not Service
• Potential Member
• Member
• Deposit Required
• Zip Code
• Dispatch Zone
• Warranty Status
• Resource Skill Level
• Customer Experience
• Invoice Schedule Reference
