Important Information:
- The Copy feature creates a duplicate of an existing estimate
- The status of the duplicated estimate will be Estimate Requested
- The "Requested On" date automatically populates with today's date
- All notes, on-site visit, uploaded photos, and documents are retained in the copied estimate
- If a job is linked or converted from the original estimate, that will not transfer to the copied estimate
- Useful for scheduling similar estimates or creating future estimates without re-entering all details
Strategic Workflow:
- Update specific estimate details of the copied estimate, if applicable:
- Modify Description
- Change Status
- Re-assign or un-assign Opportunity Owner
- Update Requested On Date
- Update On-Site Visit
- Re-assign or un-assign Tech(s)
- Edit Notes
- Remove or adjust copied product and service pricing
- Ideal for estimates with minor address changes (e.g., unit or suite number)
Process Description:
- Navigate to the View Estimate screen
- Select the More menu on the right-hand side
- Click Copy (last option in the menu)
- A new estimate will be created on the same page
- Update details as needed (Customer, Date, Assigned Tech, etc.)
- Review the activity log to confirm the estimate was created via the Copy feature
Accessing the Estimate:
- Go to the View estimate screen for the estimate you want to duplicate
Using the Copy Feature:
- Click the More menu on the right-hand side
- Select Copy (last option in the menu)
Updating the New Estimate:
- The copied estimate will appear on the same page, you will see that the estimate number changes
- Edit and update any of the details within the estimate
Confirming Creation:
- Check the Activity Log to verify the estimate was created using the Copy feature
