Processing Limits: Processing limits, also known as transaction size limits, are specific to each merchant and are set based on the estimated transaction volume provided during the sign up process. These limits help prevent fraud and manage risk. Learn more about processing limits with stripe.
Important Information:
- While there is no singular place to view a transaction size limit, these limits are reviewed regularly by Stripe.
- Size limits are specific to each merchant and are originally set based on the estimated transaction volume provided during the sign up process.
- If suddenly you process far more than expected, it could trigger a review or a fund hold.
- If a payment is planned to be processed that exceeds the typical transaction size, Stripe can accept a request to increase the imposed limit prior to payment processing. Make sure to plan the request with ample lead time to allow for communication and manual review to occur.
Exceeding the Process Limit:
- In most cases, when a merchant attempts to process a payment in FusionPay that exceeds the max capacity of the processing limit, the merchant will receive a notification from Stripe directly.
- The transaction will typically decline.
If you are needing to increase your processing limit, you will want to login to your Stripe account to initiate a chat or request a call to request the increase.
