Important Information:
- Job statuses help organize workflow and can include logic for labor tracking and invoicing
- Statuses can be customized with icons, colors, and permissions
- "Short Codes" indicate logic for system default statuses
- If the status is visible to technicians and they are able to assign the status, there are some additional settings that can be configured
Step-by-Step Instruction:
- Navigate to My Office > Estimate & Job Statuses
- Click the Job Statuses tab
- Select + Add New in the top-right corner
- Configure:
- Status Category: Choose Open Jobs, Open Jobs That Are In Progress, or Closed Jobs
- Icon: Select an icon for mobile app display
- Name: Enter the status name (e.g., Parts Ordered, Reschedule)
- Status Workflow Logic: Apply logic for labor tracking, invoicing or leave unchanged
- Background Color: Choose a color for visibility on grids and calendars
- Active/Inactive toggle: Toggle to make the status active or inactive
- Field Workers Can Assign This Status: Set YES or NO based on visibility preferences
- Click Save to save the new status
Only Allow to Select Status if:
Require the following options, if preferred:
- Pre-work signature is present
- Post-work signature is present
- At least 1-10 pictures are uploaded
- Current status is any of
- All tasks are marked as completed
- Equipment information is present
- Only require if category is any of
- Model is present
- Serial# is present
- SKU is present
- Installation date is present
