Important Information:
In order for our Billing Team to change the ownership of a Service Fusion account, we do require some documentation to support the change in ownership. This is for the safety of our customers, and everyone involved.
Process Description:
Email the following documents to support@servicefusion.com outlining the current company name, who the current owner is, and who ownership is transferring to.
- Legal Department has advised the following, We need all of:
- Copy of the Bill of Sale showing ALL parties involved, and that Service Fusion is part of the assets being sold. We will need the signature page with dates to show it was completed.
- W9 showing the new owner information, but MUST show owner name, not just company name.
- A letter from the current owner confirming the sale of the business and the Service Fusion software. This will also need to approve the transfer of all data and give us permission to switch everything over to the new owner. This will need to be done on the letterhead of the current company.
- Articles of Incorporation or Articles of Organization: The most reliable proof of ownership is articles of Incorporation or Articles of Organization.
- AND one of the following:
- Operating Agreements: For LLCs, the Operating Agreement is a crucial document that details ownership percentages and rights of members.
- Share certificates: In corporations, stock certificates serve as proof of ownership for shareholders.
- Business license: While not definitive proof of ownership, a business license can be used as supporting evidence.
- Tax identification documents: Your business's tax identification number (EIN) on tax filings can also be considered as proof of ownership.
Once we have the above 5 documents attached in the Zendesk ticket, we can move forward with the task to Binoy to move account information over.
