Important Terms:
Processing Limits: Processing limits, also known as transaction size limits, are specific to each merchant and are set based on the estimated transaction volume provided during the sign up process. These limits help prevent fraud and manage risk.
Important Information:
- While there is not a single place that you can see the specific limit within Service Fusion, you will want to reach out to our Service Fusion Support team and we would be able to provide you with the specific limit information.
- If you suddenly process far more than expected, it could trigger a review or a funds hold.
- When a merchant attempts to process a payment in FusionPay that exceeds the maximum capacity of the processing limit, the merchant will receive a notification from STAX directly.
- The transaction will typically decline when processing a payment that exceeds the current processing limit.
Best Practices for Merchants:
- If a payment is planned to be processed that exceeds the typical transaction size, STAX can accept a request to increase the imposed limit prior to payment processing.
- Please plan the request with ample lead time to allow for communication and manual review to occur.
- If you are needing to increase your processing limit, you will need to reach out directly to Service Fusion Support to request the increase. A reapplication will be required.
- Reapply by sending an email to support@servicefusion.com requesting the specific limit you would like your account to be increased to, along with providing three months worth of bank statements (the 3 months of recent bank statements are needed to validate and provide supporting documentation of your typical processing volume.)
