Repeating jobs are useful when you have a customer that needs work done at regular intervals! Once you have customized your jobs to repeat at the intervals you desire they will appear on the schedule for their scheduled time for up to a year in advance.

Creating a Repeating Job
When you create a new job you can make it a repeating job by clicking the box next to the Repeat This Job option below the Arrival Time Window. Please note: the job start date must be entered.
Once this box has been selected you will be presented with a dialogue box where you can completely customize how you would like your jobs to repeat.
The first option that you will see is the "Job Repeats". These options will tell the system how often you would like the job to repeat! By selecting one of those options, the following sections will also change to better reflect the frequency that you would like your jobs to repeat. The above screen shot is for the daily repeating jobs.
Notice with weekly repeating jobs that it gives the option to select specific days for the job to repeat and the option to repeat every set number of weeks instead of days. You will see the dates the future jobs will be created upon in the Summary to the right of the dialogue box:
Notice with monthly repeating jobs that it gives the option to repeat on a specific day of the month, specific day of the week, or the last day of the month. Additionally, there is the option to repeat every set number of months instead of days or weeks. You will see the dates the future jobs will be created upon in the Summary to the right of the dialogue box:
Notice with yearly repeating jobs that yearly is very similarly structured to the daily repeating job option except that it gives the option to repeat every set number of years instead. You will see the dates the future jobs will be created upon in the Summary to the right of the dialogue box:
The next option you are able to set is the “Repeat Every”. This will tell the system how often you would like your job to repeat to a finer detail based off of your selection in the previous section. You will select the number of increments you would like between each repeating job and the date you would like the jobs to start repeating. The system will use the date of the original job as default but this can be changed.
The next option that can be set is “This Job Stops Repeating”. This is where you will set your end date so that the system won’t create any jobs past a certain date that you specify! You can choose to do this after a certain number of jobs, on a specific date or have the jobs repeat indefinitely.
Next is the “Create Repeat Job(s)” section which will allow you to determine when you would like the system to populate these jobs on your schedule. These will be presented in the drop down menu for you to select from.
The last section is the "Initial Status Of New Job(s)" which will allow you to determine what status and information the jobs will populate with. The drop down menu will give you a list of your current job statuses that you have in your system and these will determine what the starting status of the future occurring jobs will be.
You are also able to include (or not include) all pictures, documents, custom fields values, and billing mode from the original instance of the job to all future jobs in the thread! Sometimes, Custom Fields will vary from job to job, and sometimes they remain static. For this reason, users now have the power to choose if they'd like the original entry in a job's custom fields to be included when repeating that job, or if the user would prefer the custom fields on future jobs be left blank.
Where to find your Repeating Jobs
Once you have created your Repeating Job, then you may need to find it later on down the road! You can easily find a dashboard with all of your repeating jobs by hovering your mouse over the Jobs tab at the top of any Service Fusion screen and selecting Repeating Jobs from the resulting menu.
The dashboard that you are presented with will give you a basic breakdown of all of the repeating jobs you currently have in your system. All of the jobs listed will be the original instance of a job, not all of the jobs in a repeating thread, so this will also be where you would need to go in order to edit your job thread. You will find the repeat frequency of the thread, the total for the job, start date and time, customer, description and job number.
Changing Information on Repeating Jobs
If you attempt to change the information of a repeating job then you will be presented with a dialogue box that will give you the option to change just the current job or all future jobs. This is the best way to make changes across the entire thread of jobs.
If you need to go in and edit the setting specific to repeating jobs you will go in to the edit view of the job and select the edit option next to the repeating jobs option.
If you are selecting this option on one of the repeated jobs in the thread you will get a dialogue box that states these settings can only be edited on the original instance. But fear not! This dialogue box has the ability to take you straight to the original instance of the repeating job.
Once you have made it back to your original job and attempt to make the change you will see a dialogue box that verifies that the change will affect all of the subsequent jobs.
