Processing Limits: Processing limits, also known as transaction size limits, are specific to each merchant and are set based on the estimated transaction volume provided during the sign up process. These limits help prevent fraud and manage risk. Learn more about processing limits with Worldpay.
Important Information:
- While there is no singular place to view a transaction size limit, these limits are reviewed regularly by Worldpay. Connect with EverCommerce Payments directly in order to determine if upcoming transactions will exceed current limitations.
- Size limits are specific to each merchant and are originally set based on the estimated transaction volume provided during the sign up process.
- If you suddenly process far more than expected, it could trigger a review or a funds hold.
- In most cases, when a merchant attempts to process a payment in FusionPay that exceeds the maximum capacity of the processing limit, the merchant will receive a notification from Worldpay directly.
- The transaction will typically decline when processing a payment that exceeds the current processing limit.
Best Practices for Merchants:
- If a payment is planned to be processed that exceeds the typical transaction size, Worldpay can accept a request to increase the imposed limit prior to payment processing.
- Plan the request with ample lead time to allow for communication and manual review to occur.
If you are needing to increase your processing limit, you will want to reach out directly to EverCommerce Payments support to request the increase.
