Important Information:
- If the estimate is converted to a job, the estimate cannot be deleted until the associated job is deleted
- Only estimates in the Estimate Provided or Estimate Won status can be deleted
- Attempting to delete an estimate in any other status will result in an error
- Deleting estimates is a back office feature only and cannot be performed from the Worker App
Strategic Workflow:
- Ensures estimates are only deleted when appropriate
- Prevents accidental removal of estimates in open, active or finalized stages
Process Description:
- Change the estimate status to Estimate Provided or Estimate Won
- Save the estimate
- Use the Delete option under the More menu
Step-by-Step Instruction:
- Go to Estimates > Estimates Dashboard
- Locate the estimate you want to delete
- Click Edit on the estimate
- Change the Status to one of the following:
- Estimate Provided
- Estimate Won
- Click Save Estimate
- Click More in the top-right corner and select Delete
- When prompted with “Are you sure you want to delete this estimate?”, click Ok
- If the estimate is in a status other than Estimate Provided or Estimate Won, you will see an error message: “This estimate cannot be deleted.” Click Accept. Update the status as described above, and then proceed with deletion
The deleted estimates can be found by going to Estimates > Deleted Estimates and can be restored if needed
