Area: Web & Mobile - Configuration
Companies may require a subdivision between locations, stores, skills, or departments and etc. Entities allows companies to have that level of division. The labels for each entity name should be defined by the company leaders. The Entity selection shows on the Web and Mobile for users of Companies that have opted in for having multiple entities.
Prerequisites and Constraints
Currently the names can only be created or edited by members of the Service Fusion Staff. Customers, jobs, estimates, are specifically assigned to specific entities. However, they can be duplicated between entities. Settings, Warehouses, Products and Services can be specific to entities or shared. However the Settings for Techs Statuses and roles are company level only.Please contact our support group if your company requires changes.

Q: My Company has Entities. Can a user access Web or Mobile if they have no Entity assignment?
A: No they cannot log in without access to at least 1 entity if multiple entities can be associated with the Company.
Q: I don’t need a division now but I believe I’ll need it next year. Will I need to have a new Company setup next year when I decide to a new location?
A: No, you can use same company setup. The changes will be immediate with minimal impact to your current setup.
Q: I see the Entity setting when I’m looking at a customer’s details. Why isn’t anything happening when I click the Entity name?
A: You cannot change the Entity in that view. However, if you return to a page that is not specific to a customer and you have access to multiple entities you will be able to change to an alternate entity.
